The "SafeVision"

 

Industry has long asked for a position indicator/switchbox for actuated valves and dampers that is designed to be an integral module of the actuator - not an isolated design that has to be added on!

With the now common VDE/VDI accessory mounting specifications that state of the art actuator manufacturers use, HYTORK controls developed the "SafeVision" explosion proof switchbox/position indicator that takes advantage of these standards to make installation, calibration and connection simple and efficient.

Mounting brackets and hardware are an integral part of the ''SafeVision'' package - eliminating costly, troublesome, time consuming special bracketry.

The "SafeVision" is UL certified under control number 7R29 and is approved as a type 4, 4X, 7, 9 explosion proof enclosure. CENELEC certification to code EEx d IIB T6 is Demko approved under control number 97D.121993

"SafeVision" - The valve and damper position indicator that provides maximum visual indication for installations in hazardous locations, yet requires less overall envelope space than almost all competitors.
 

 



  • The interior of the housing is designed to accept a large choice of switch designs, including Hytork's i MAX hermetically sealed reed switch, plus other control accessories.
  • The "SafeVision" is available with up to 3 conduit entries for convenient electrical connection. This makes the enclosure ideal for assembly with a solenoid valve as a CostSaver system.
i MAX - maximum protection against switch breakdown

i MAX is a hermetically sealed (in glass) reed switch with tungsten reeds. For maximum life and current transfer abilities, the SPDT reed switch in glass is permanently encapsulated in a high impact, corrosion resistant, completely sealed composite enclosure. Tough, corrosion resistant and durable.


The i max is a UL recognised component and bears the UL recognised mark.

  • "SafeVision" features KWIK SET cam adjustment for precision position indication and calibration.
  • Terminal wire strips (up to 20 points) are rugged and easy to use and are well identified to assist technicians.
  • The large position indicator is virtually unbreakable and resistant to corrosion. It is easy to remove and install and any necessary adjustment is done easily after the lid has been installed in place.
  • The unique split shaft design means that the cover and visual indicator can be removed as a complete unit with the captive stainless steel screws and replaced in its original position for easy re-assembly.
  • "O" rings are used to provide superior sealing.

  • The "SafeVision" VDE/VDI mounting platform is machined to provide accurate repeatable shaft alignment that fabricated sheet metal brackets cannot achieve.

  • A long cure, two part epoxy coating provides a corrosion resistant exterior to protect against aggressive environments at no additional cost.
